Premium Performance and Safety Features

Cadillac continues to offer the XT5 with two powertrain choices. The first is the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a nine-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive. The four-cylinder engine delivers 235 horsepower. This engine and driveline are standard on the XT5 Luxury and Premium Luxury trim. Drivers can add all-wheel drive to the Premium Luxury trim.

Buyers who choose the Sport trim get the 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 310 horsepower. This engine is available for buyers who want to add it to the Premium Luxury trim. The Sport trim also comes with upgraded Brembo brakes, performance suspension, steering assist, and standard all-wheel drive.

The four-cylinder engine has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22/29 MPG when equipped with front-wheel drive. The V6 models get an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 19/26 MPG. When the XT5 has all-wheel drive, the fuel economy dips a bit.

All XT5 trims come with several standard driver-assistance features that earned the SUV a five-star crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The standard features include a Rearview Camera, Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Front Pedestrian Braking.

Buyers who want additional safety features can add packages to the top two trims in the 2022 model year XT5. The extra features include a Surround-View Parking Camera System, Blind Spot Monitoring, a Head-Up Display, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist.

Infotainment Tech and Styling Updates

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 interior features are what drivers expect in a luxury SUV. The Luxury trim has synthetic leather upholstery heated front seats and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, and an eight-speaker premium Bose audio system.

The top trims include a power moonroof, a heated steering wheel, wireless device charging, and additional safety features. Buyers who want more comfort can add the Platinum package with genuine leather upholstery and a performance-tuned suspension.
