Superior Models
The upcoming Cadillac V-Series comes in two superior models: the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. These models represent the best Cadillacs to ever hit the tracks with their exceptional performance features that will elevate your driving experience to the highest level.
Like the previous high-performance powerhouse – the CTS-V, the CT5-V will draw power from the same supercharged V8 engine. The CT4-V will be the smaller version powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine. For both models, a six-speed TREMEC manual transmission will be a standard feature.
CT5-V Features
The 2022 CT5-V Blackwing will be powered by a 6.2L Supercharged V8 engine. It is capable of packing 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque. Right now, this superior sedan is the most powerful among all Cadillacs. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds using automatic transmission with a GM-estimated top track speed of over 200 mph.
According to GM, compared to the CTS-V, its air intake airflow has improved by 46%. The CT5-V has built-in Rotocast A356T6 aluminum cylinder heads deemed better than your regular aluminum-alloy heads. It also comes with lightweight titanium intake valves and track-capable oiling and vent system that have an external oil separator and drainback. All these features guarantee the ultimate track performance for the CT5-V.
CT4-V Features
The 2022 CT4-V Blackwing is the smaller version of the CT5-V and will be powered by a 3.6L Twin-Turbo V6 engine. It is capable of packing 472 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the CT5-V, there’s not much of a difference in acceleration as this model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds using automatic transmission with a GM-estimated top track speed of 189 mph.
Right now, the CT4-V is the fastest and the most powerful Cadillac among all subcompact Cadillacs. Compared to the ATS-V, its air intake airflow has improved by 39%. Its built-in manifold-integrated water-to-air charge cooling system also contributes to a faster and better torque reaction.
