Impressive Performance

Cadillac offers two engine choices. The first is a 6.2-liter V8 that delivers 420 horsepower with an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 14/19 MPG. The second is a Duramax turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six with 277 horsepower and an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21/24 MPG.

The Cadillac Escalade transmission is a standard 10-speed automatic, and buyers can choose rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

As a full-size SUV with plenty of power, the Escalade has an impressive towing capacity. With all-wheel drive, the SUV tows between 7,300 and 8,200 pounds depending on the drivetrain and powertrain combinations. For convenience, all trims come with a seven-wire harness and rearview camera with integrated hitch guidance. Buyers who plan to tow with their Escalade can also add optional features like an integrated trailer brake controller, a blind-spot monitoring trailer sensor, trailer tire pressure monitoring, engine cooling, and an auxiliary trailer camera.

Driver-Assistive and High-Tech Features

For enhanced performance, Cadillac outfits the Escalade and the Escalade ESV with driver-assistive features like Forward Collision Warning, Front and Rear Pedestrian Detection, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, and Surround-View Parking Camera System.

Available premium driver-assistance technology provides a semi-autonomous experience. They include a Head-Up Display, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rearview Mirror Camera, Reverse Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Night Vision Assist, Automatic Seat-Belt Tightening, and Super Cruise.

The newest Cadillac Escalade received a four-star crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety has not rated the Escalade since 2020.

Cadillac equipped the Escalade with several standard infotainment features. They include a 16.9-inch touchscreen with navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless device charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The standard sound system is a 19-speaker AKG Studio stereo.
