Cadillac offers the Escalade in two sizes: standard and stretch. The standard Escalade has a wheelbase of 120.9 inches, while the Escalade ESV has a wheelbase of 134.1 inches. Both models have three rows with plenty of space for all passengers.

The standard Cadillac Escalade has plenty of cargo space. With all seats occupied, the Escalade has 25.5 cubic feet of cargo space. With the third-row seats folded, the cargo space increases to 72.9 cubic feet. With the second and third-row seats folded, the cargo space is 121 cubic feet.

Cadillac gives buyers two engine choices. The standard engine is a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The second is the optional 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six engine with 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both engines have a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Buyers who choose the 6.2-liter V8 with the Max Trailering package can tow 8,200 pounds. All trims come with a seven-pin harness and a rearview hitch guidance camera, and the 2022 Cadillac Escalade towing capacity without the Max Trailering Package is 7,300 pounds. The Escalade ESV has a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds.

Plenty of Room with Posh Interior Features

With three benches, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade seating capacity fits eight people. However, the standard seating configuration includes second row captain’s chairs to seat seven. Because the Escalade is a full-size SUV, the third row fits three adults comfortably.
